it's AMAZING. where did you get it? is it a he or a she? what's it's name? can i meet it?

hiccup brought him over here because he gets lonely and apparently he thought i'd make the best friend a dragon could have
his name is gruff
he's a sweet guy
he's blind, so he takes a while to warm up to new people
and patience

and you're a ball of energy basically

i can be patient?? [ aaaaand after a minute ]okay maybe i shouldn't be like the first to meet him. or second. maybe fifth. so what's it like having a dragon?? i met one when i first got here but she didn't seem super friendly so i kind of gave her some distance. does he sleep inside?

so far he's sleeping in a special nest for dragons in the forest, but i'm looking for a new place for the two of us.
i was thinking a big warehouse on the edge of the city
i'll convert half of it into a workshop and open a garage or something, and there should be enough open space for a big blind dragon to roll around without causing damages
i know i should look for something in the forest, but i'm not going in there while grounder princess is out there

[ on the ground, it's a hell of a lot easier to spend time with o — when they're not fighting off grounders or being separated, that is. he's taken for granted that she remembers everything he knows she knows — from the things back home to what they've spoken about here. it's hard to reconcile the two things, of them being out of sync when they never really have been. that time spent apart on the ark, with mom gone and o locked him and him returning over and over to an empty unit, hadn't seen them shake how well he thinks they get along. ]

Have you had icecream yet?

[ he hopes she hasn't. he's been holding out on buying a cone or even having more than what's in the tubs in the store so his first proper icecream can be with o. #sap. ]

( they've never had the vastness - or the population - of a city like this to contend with. until octavia was caught their whole lives had revolved almost exclusively around each other, even on the ground they'd only spent a limited time away and every minute of it had been awful. here is different though, it's sleepy and lazy and they aren't fighting for their lives, and maybe that should make it easier, but there's also so much to experience that it's easy to let things previously taken for granted slip. )

I actually haven't. We need to change that, right?

[ is it wrong he's happy she hasn't had any yet? maybe. but bellamy will simply add that to the tally of inappropriate things to be happy about. he wants o to experience the world she has at her disposal, but sometimes he's so greedy he wants it to be with him. is that so wrong? he doesn't think so. if he's allowed one thing, it's this — time with octavia. ]

You're lucky I know someone who makes the best ice-cream.

( she's in a Mood, and tempted to respond with a resounding 'no', but it's clarke. she likes clarke. clarke tells her where fight club is on the side when bellamy's being pig headed. besides, it'll probably do her some good. )
